I do use several layers of primer to help make sure the paint does not crack or peel when worn. I also use a sealer topcoat to help ensure quality of the artwork. The sealer does make the shoes water resistant but not waterproof. Please avoid scraping, staining, or prying of the fabric. If you do spill something on the shoes a damp cloth should clean them right up. Please avoid putting them in the washer or dryer.
